Ubisense Group plc (AIM: UBI), a leader in enterprise location intelligence solutions, today announced that its vice president of manufacturing industry strategy, Adrian Jennings, will speak at SAE 2015 World Congress next week in Detroit. This event brings together experts in the automotive industry to exchange ideas on challenges and solutions, and profile innovations that are moving the industry forward. Ubisense will demonstrate the capabilities of its Smart Factory Assembly products, launched last week, in booth #1052.

Jennings will present, “Industry 4.0: Long Term Aspiration or Inevitable Next Step?” on April 23 at 2 p.m. Jennings will explain why the coming age of cyber-physical systems is the inevitable next step for some in a continuing strategy of investing in technology. For most, however, these concepts feel quite distant from today’s reality where many plants have yet to adopt the automation technologies of Industry 3.0, and are decades away from mass adoption of Industry 4.0. During this session, Jennings will explain what it takes to get to Industry 4.0, and barriers that cause vehicle manufacturers to be cautious about tackling this challenge.

Ubisense helps manufacturers along the path to Industry 4.0 by providing Smart Factory, a production-proven portfolio of manufacturing optimization solutions designed to help manufacturers reduce the cost of complexity. With Smart Factory, manufacturers can sustain continuous flow, optimize efficiency and reduce errors in manual assembly processes.
