Semifinalists Announced for Tag Business Launch Competition

21 companies move on to pitch for a live audience on March 17 semifinals presented by TAG, Metro Atlanta Chamber, and Venture Atlanta

The Technology Association of Georgia, Venture Atlanta, and Metro Atlanta Chamber announced the 21 companies that were selected as semifinalists for the 10th annual TAG Business Launch Competition 2015. The annual competition supports the creation and growth of new companies that to aid in strengthening and expanding Georgia’s strategic high-tech clusters. In the next three to five years, projections show technology companies will invest more than $1 billion in Georgia.

This year’s semifinalists represent startups in a variety of industries, from bioscience to electronic payments to travel:



The 21 companies selected to continue in the program will receive mentorship over the next weeks until the morning of March 17 when they AT&T Midtown. More than 100 applications were received for the competition which boasts a $50,000 cash prize, one on one mentoring support, and a suite of services package including legal, marketing, office space and more.

The semifinals will be open to the public and will feature an audience vote component. Eight companies will be selected from among the semifinalists to pitch head-to-head at the finals on May 11.
