AIA, Hanley Wood, and Informa Exhibitions Extend Strategic Partnership

Washington, D.C. – WEBWIRE

The American Institute of Architects (AIA), Hanley Wood, and Informa Exhibitions extended their strategic partnership through 2020. In renewing the original five-year agreement, the AIA and Hanley Wood will expand their relationship to leverage Hanley Wood data, digital, and marketing services. Members of AIA will continue to receive ARCHITECT, the Official Journal of AIA. Informa Exhibitions U.S. – formerly Hanley Wood Exhibitions – will continue to manage the AIA Convention.

“Our new agreement reflects optimism about the important contributions architects make in the world, and our enhanced partnership recognizes that AIA members need robust 21st century tools, resources, and learning opportunities to succeed,” said AIA Chief Executive Officer Robert Ivy, FAIA. “We’ll be able to glean powerful insights from data and expand the reach and impact of our collective digital offerings. As important, is having access to the expertise of Informa Exhibitions to help us keep the AIA Convention relevant and innovative.”

“Hanley Wood and AIA have grown together over the last four years,” said Peter Goldstone, CEO of Hanley Wood. “Both organizations have evolved in new and exciting ways. Our data and digital capabilities are unmatched in the industry, and will help us accelerate growth opportunities for AIA and drive new value for architects and our customers. Our marketing expertise will support AIA in shaping a position that expands awareness of the important role of architects in business and in society; strengthens the leadership role of AIA in the building design and construction ecosystem; and builds a bright future for the Institute and its members.”

“We have a strong working relationship with AIA in delivering a great experience for attendees and business opportunities for our customers at the AIA Convention,” noted Rick McConnell, President of Informa Exhibitions US. “We are very excited to support the continued growth of the event and leveraging our expertise to make the event a success.”
