NuVision Federal Credit Union Deploys Online Account Opening Platform

MeridianLink Xpress Accounts™ More User-Friendly, Robust

Costa Mesa, CA – WEBWIRE

NuVision Federal Credit Union,a full-service financial institution with 14 branches located in Los Angeles and Orange Counties and Arizona deployed the MeridianLink platform to automate the opening of new accounts on September 30, 2014.

“We were looking for a more user-friendly and robust online opening system,” said Jackie Donerson, vice president of Service and Remote Delivery at NuVision. “This, together with MeridianLink’s unique, automated cross-sell feature offers us a greater ability to serve our members better and an increased potential for future growth.”

The previous system NuVision had offered for online account opening did not have an automated cross-sell feature. “It involved having a member service rep review the application and then make a follow-up call,” explained Donerson. “If someone applied to open an account over the weekend, that could mean they might not receive a call back about additional products they were qualified for and may be interested in until the following week. And of course, it can be challenging to reach people by phone. With Xpress Accounts, as soon as their account is approved, they are notified about other financial opportunities.”

NuVision reports that the deployment process was well planned, conducted and executed. “Our team worked extremely well with MeridianLink’s deployment and training team,” noted Donerson. “We realized that a form was missing just prior to deployment; it needed to be mapped and approved in short order. Everyone jumped on it, doing whatever was necessary to make it happen.”

NuVision is currently offering Xpress Accounts to members via their online channel but they plan to have the system available through branch offices in the future.“ Our online staff reports that Xpress Accounts makes the online application process a lot easier,” said Donerson. “They say it’s just ‘simpler’ to work with. We want to offer the same convenience and ease to our branch staff.” MeridianLink’s software is the most mature account opening and loan origination platform available, and the company has maintained its position on the cutting edge of advancement and innovation.Important MeridianLink firsts include the development of the first web-based credit reporting system and the first end-to-end, multi-channel account opening and loan origination platform. The MeridianLink platform has been proven to increase loan volume as well as reduce loan production costs and can also be integrated with most core processors and over 150 third-party applications.
