Cambridge University Press announces new partner for digital publishing platform

WEBWIRE

As University Publishing Online continues to grow, Cambridge University Press announces new partnership with Pickering & Chatto, an international publisher specialising in high-level humanities and social science titles.

University Publishing Online is a digital platform that provides librarians with access to over 25,000 front and backlist titles from a variety of international academic publishers. Since launching in 2011, the platform has gone from strength to strength with 12 publishers signed up including the Mathematical Association of America, Edinburgh University Press, and Liverpool University Press.

The platform includes sophisticated searching functionality, allowing students and librarians to find and download the content they desire easily and quickly.

This year alone there have been over 250,000 downloads of partner content by librarians and academics across the world, and this number is growing every year.

Pickering & Chatto initially bring over 300 titles to the platform, these include A Political Biography of Samuel Johnson by Nicholas Hudson, A History of Emotions 1200-1800 edited by Jonas Liliequist, and The Body, Gender and Culture series.

These books perfectly complement the existing content available on University Publishing Online, which includes subjects across the areas of humanities, and social sciences, as well as science, medicine, and technology.

Pickering & Chatto join Jagiellonian University Press and The Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research, who both went live in September.
