ownCloud hires Mark Viens as vice president, Customer Experience

Lexington, MA – WEBWIRE

ownCloud, the company behind the world’s most popular open source file sync and share software, announced the addition of Mark Viens as vice president, Customer Experience, responsible for driving enterprise customer and partner satisfaction (Customer eXperience).

Viens was most recently vice president of Global Client Services and IT Operations for Ping Identity Corporation, where he helped design, recruit, build out, and implement the required global services and support infrastructure, including five response centers globally.

“ownCloud has such a great opportunity to change the way businesses interact with their data, a landscape that consistently shows us that the requirements of today are very different from yesterday and tomorrow,” said Viens. “Customer eXperience (CX) is a focus on ensuring that ownCloud is maniacally attentive to the mission of over-delivering on all fronts, for each and every customer and partner.”

Prior to Ping, Viens drove customer care initiatives at Macromedia, Adobe and Intergraph Corporation.

“Mark brings a perfect blend of large and small company experience, always devoted to doing what is right for the customers,” said Markus Rex, CEO, ownCloud. “At ownCloud, Mark will drive our commitment to exceeding customer expectations.”
