Manila, Philippines – WEBWIRE

The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) had a special bell ringing ceremony to formally welcome NASDAQ OMX executives led by its President Adena Friedman.

The PSE recently announced that it has chosen NASDAQ OMX’s X-stream Trading Technology to power its trading platform. The trading engine is expected to be available by mid-2015.

“I am confident that working hand in hand with an exchange technology leader will assure us of a new trading system that will help achieve our business objectives and help reach our goal of enhancing our technology structure.  We will make sure that this cutting-edge technology will make us even more competitive in the global arena,” said PSE Chairman Jose T. Pardo in his welcome remarks during the bell ringing ceremony.
