McAfee, part of Intel Security, today announced that it has raised more than $250,000 to support the American Cancer Society, Parkinson’s Institute, and eight additional Bay Area non-profits. The money was raised via the McAfee Third Annual Charity Golf Tournament, which was held May 8 at the nationally acclaimed CordeValle Golf Resort in San Martin, CA. In the last three years, the local McAfee team has raised more than $700,000 to benefit our local charities and non-profit organizations through the Annual Charity Golf Tournament.

Now in its third year, the tournament attracted 120 people. It included a full day of golf, dinner and a live-auction in the evening. Cisco was the event’s Platinum Sponsor. Gold Sponsors included Digital River, LeadQual and Ziff Davis; Silver Sponsors included Adobe, EVI, GoDaddy, Google, Lenovo, OpenCandy, Strongview and Kelly OCG.

“At the core of McAfee stands our huge commitment to safety and security—our relentless search for safe—that makes us wants to do even more in our communities,” said Todd Gebhart, Vice-Chairman of the McAfee Board of Directors. “McAfee conducts many fund raising events worldwide to support the local communities where we live and work. This tournament was created three years ago to bring together like-minded partners, customers and the local community to have fun for great causes. I want to say a big thank you to our sponsors for making this day such a success.”
