Aachen, Germany, March 31 2014 – nablet GmbH,  a video technology development company with focus on image processing and content recognition, today announced the release of MPEG-2 Codec SDK v2.0.

The new release of nablet MPEG-2 Codec includes several completely new features especially for use in the broadcast market. These include:

  • Highly accurate Bitrate control
  • “Stream-Glue” – Smart Rendering to allow perfect CBR/VBR bitrate allocation over stream boundaries
  • Advanced look-ahead mode for realtime 2-pass encode
  • Special offline mode with extended quasi 2-pass look-ahead for best possible encoding quality
  • Locked CPU-usage mode to avoid peaks or hang in CPU usage



In addition, the SDK includes support 32 and 64 Bit version on Windows, Mac OS and Linux as well.
