Atmel and Movea Join Forces for Always-on Ultra-low Power Sensor Hubs to be Showcased at Mobile World Congress

Barcelona, Feb. 24, 2014 - Atmel®, a leader in microcontroller and touch solutions, and Movea, a leader in motion processing and data fusion for consumer electronics, today announced that Movea’s SmartMotion technology has been ported to the Atmel SAMG53. The SAMG53 solution is part of Atmel’s popular Cortex-M4-based family optimized for high-performance, low-power applications.

Targeting mobile consumer devices such as smartphones and tablets, Movea’s SmartMotion technology enhances the user experience by delivering compelling motion driven applications and services including activity monitoring, context awareness, pedestrian dead-reckoning and mobile gestures turning sensor data into personal, meaningful information. The technology will be demonstrated at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on Feb. 24-27, 2014 in Movea’s meeting room 7P2MR, in Hall 7.
