The Elizabeth Hospice is the region’s oldest and largest nonprofit hospice provider, and trusted health care resource, since 1978.

The Elizabeth Hospice has been recognized by the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) as a Level Four Partner-the highest designation-in the We Honor Veterans program.

The We Honor Veterans Program is a collaboration of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and NHPCO to ensure America’s veterans have access to quality end-of-life care. Participating organizations, in partnership with VA staff, receive training and resources to better serve veterans.

The Elizabeth Hospice, San Diego County’s largest not-for-profit hospice provider, is one of only 122 organizations in the United States to achieve Level Four status in the program.

“We are proud to be recognized in achieving the highest designation in the We Honor Veterans program,” said Jan Jones, president and CEO of The Elizabeth Hospice. “We understand that veterans share a unique culture, yet have different experiences that may greatly impact end-of-life care. It is truly a privilege to serve those who have served our country.”
