TEO, the Keyless Padlock System to Debut on the Tech World Stage

Vancouver, BC – TEO, the world’s first keyless padlock system, will be presented by its Yukon inventor Gord Duncan, at the Wavefront Wireless Summits Innovation Showcase in Vancouver tomorrow afternoon.  
 
TEO, one of eight new wireless ‘solutions’ selected for showcase from across Canada, is a ground up patent pending design for a keyless padlock that incorporates Bluetooth Low Energy (BTLE) technology. TEO is operated by any Apple smartphone or device with BTLE capability and support for Android devices is in underway. TEO allows the user to access, or share access, to a TEO padlock by time and date, by user and location. It also includes an enterprise space, which offers a host of possibilities for unique commercial and industrial scenarios.  
 
Duncan, from Whitehorse, will join wireless technology product innovators from Quebec, Alberta, BC and New Brunswick and will have seven minutes to “pitch” TEO. The showcase audience will vote on the “product or solution most likely to succeed” and the winner will receive a $2,000 cash prize courtesy of the Canadian Digital Media Network.

Duncan and his team, who have been working on TEO for the past two years, are currently seeking investment on Kickstarter.com to take TEO from the prototype to the design to manufacture phase over the next 10 months.
 
The opportunity to back TEO on Kickstarter.com will be available until March 7 and the product is scheduled to be available for distribution next December.
