Donating A Portion of Album Sales to Operation Smile

“I want to be able to give back to our community. I was lucky to get the surgery needed as a child, and now I want to show how thankful I am by giving back,” says Mr. Holmes.

Bonafide Studioz, a genuine music production company, has recently partnered with Operation Smile to help children receive surgeries for cleft lip and palate through their children’s album sales.

Jonathan Holmes, a co-founder of Bondafide Studioz was born with cleft lip and palate. He received surgery as a child to fix the birth defect. “I remember never being bothered by the cleft palate and believe that the surgery fixed the issue,” says Jonathan. This inspired Bonafide Studioz to donate a portion of sales from their debut children’s album,
Kidz Play Vol. 1.

Kidz Play, is a collection of favorite children’s songs with a twist. Each song has been crafted to reach the whole family through familiar verses and high quality musical arrangements. “Kidz Play was inspired by my three-year old godson who loves to sing and dance to music,” says Rudy Banks co-founder of Bonafide Studioz. Initially Kidz Play was intended to be an instrumental project but was made whole after the team partnered with talented vocalist Emily Guill.

Operation Smile is an international children’s charity that helps children born with cleft lip and cleft palate receive the treatment needed to help with the condition. The organization has been helping children all over the world since 1982. According to the organization, 1 in 10 children are born with either cleft lip or cleft palate. Many households are unable to get treatment due to inability to pay for the surgery and treatments. They end up relying on organizations that can fund the surgeries and treatments.

Bonafide Studioz has stepped up to help out this worthy organization by donating a portion of proceeds from sales. “I want to be able to give back to our community. I was lucky to get the surgery needed as a child, and now I want to show how thankful I am by giving back,” says Mr. Holmes.
