A sum of £5,000 will contribute toward a number of  activities for residents which the charity provides, in addition to paying for food parcels. Bolton Young Persons Housing Scheme supports young homeless people, aged between 16 and 25, throughout the Bolton area. At any one time the organisation supports up to 96 vulnerable people.

One of the biggest problems encountered by these youngsters is social isolation, and the scheme combats this by providing diverse social activities in which they can participate.

Food parcels are another important part of the BYPHS service. The scheme offers 96 placements including 80 fully furnished flats, supported lodgings and an emergency hostel. These are all available to rent by homeless and vulnerable young people, and while a roof over their head might seem of utmost importance, food and other essentials are just as necessary. BYPHS provide these wherever possible, but as with all of their facilities, they rely upon the generosity of individuals and businesses like UK Healthcare to make them possible.

UK Healthcare is one of the UK’s leading health cash plan providers and also one of the most ethical and community-minded. Every year, the charity donates cash to charities and healthcare organisations like BYPHS. In 2012, the company donated more than £56,000 to worthwhile causes, and they are on course to better this in 2013.

Health cash plans are amongst the most popular corporate benefits that businesses offer to their employees. For as little as £1 per week, per employee, these plans can cover the cost of a wide array of medical services like dental and optical check-ups, prescriptions and hospital stays, up to generous policy limits. Health cash plans are also available for private individuals and their families, while a range of health cash plans are also available to cater specifically to those over 50.

Visitors to http://ukhealthcare.org.uk/ will find that the UK Healthcare slogan reads “Looking after everybody”. As the company continues to outdo its own charitable endeavours, the line seems more relevant  than ever.
