Lloyd’s! Who swept the board, winning three prestigious communications awards in one night.

The team won Best International Campaign for Lloyd’s Underinsurance Report at the 2013 CorpComms Awards, held last night at the Troxy in London. The research, published in 2012 was described as “detailed and effective” by the panel of judges and beat off strong competition from a shortlist of global brands including InterContinental Hotels and Proctor & Gamble.

On the same night but at a different ceremony, the Content Marketing Association voted Lloyd’s winner of the ‘Best use of video’ and ‘Designer of the Year’ categories for their work on Market Magazine and Lloyd’s 325th Anniversary.

Other awards this year
In October, Lloyd’s scooped ‘Twitter Profile of the Year’ at the European Digital Communication Awards in Berlin and a Lord Mayor’s Dragon award forLloyd’s Community Programme.

CorpComms Awards 2013: Best International Campaign, Lloyd’s Underinsurance Report
Working with the Centre for Economics and Business Research, Lloyd’s developed a unique model to benefit the minimum insurance levels of 42 countries. The research allowed Lloyd’s to identify 17 countries that are dangerously underinsured and calculate that, on an annualised basis, the global underinsurance deficit topped $168 billion. The judges said “This was a really strong campaign, which was insights led from end to end.”

The International Content Marketing Awards 2013: Best use of video, Lloyd’s 325 Anniversary
As part of our 325th anniversary celebration, we produced a short video to show the key moments in our history. Edward Lloyd’s maritime predictions from a London coffee house to its adventures in space 300 years later. The judges said “This is a very clever yet simple film that is excellent throughout,” said the judges. “It really grabs then holds the attention.”

The International Content Marketing Awards 2013: Designer of the year, Sam Walker for Lloyd’s Market Magazine
Lloyd’s global thought leading Market Magazine was recently relaunched with a fresh and striking new look, feel and content strategy. The judges were unanimous in their decision to give Sam from Sunday Publishing the award, saying that “the balance of text and illustration is perfect, while the publication is a fantastic use of the format.”
