Montronics To Support Two New Security Products
LiftMaster® Garage Control is Available to Dealers Now; FireFighter™ Coming Soon
Monitronics will support two new products and services for its authorized dealer program: LiftMaster’s MyQ® technology for remote garage door control, which is available now, and Encore Controls’ FireFighter™ device in the coming weeks.
Monitronics and Alarm.com are now fully integrated with LiftMaster MyQ® technology for remote garage door control. Monitronics dealers can now offer this service, which allows customers to remotely manage garage door activity using the Alarm.com website and mobile apps. This service is included in the Alarm.com Interactive Gold package at no additional cost or can be added to other interactive plans at standard rates for a Z-wave remotely controlled device.
LiftMaster® features include:
- Checking to see if garage doors are closed
- Remotely opening and closing garage doors
- Automatically closing garage doors when the customer’s system is armed
- Receiving alerts if garage doors are left open
FireFighter™, a new product from Encore Controls, will be available to Monitronics dealers soon. The device detects the temporal sound from existing UL smoke detectors within a home.
FireFighter™ can monitor a single or linked UL Listed smoke detectors in a home. When FireFighter™ detects an active smoke alarm, it sends a wireless signal to the customer’s control panel, which transmits the appropriate fire/smoke signal to the monitoring center.
