Little Man Ice Cream Unveils Winter Menu

-Full slate of homemade soups and chili available daily-

Denver, CO – Little Man Ice Cream is taking the chill off this winter with a new slate of homemade soups. Available daily from open to close, the rotating line-up includes traditional favorites such as Chicken Noodle and Blonde French Onion, as well as Chicken Enchilada, Broccoli and Cauliflower Cheddar, Potato and Leek and Tejon Chili.

Chili and three soups will be offered daily from now until March and range in price from $3.50 for a cup to $4.75 for a bowl. For those looking to combine cold and warm weather cuisine, Little Man is offering the Little Big Deal: A cup of soup, a homemade cheddar biscuit and a small ice cream sandwich for $6.99.

“Like our ice cream, our soups are made fresh every day using local ingredients. Our goal is to deliver high-quality food, regardless of the season,” said Little Man Manager General Manager Loren Martinez.

Little Man will be open this winter from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The shop will continue to serve its handcrafted ice cream, sorbet and gelato all winter.

Opened in 2008, Little Man is housed in a 28-foot steel replica of an old-fashioned milk can at 2620 16th Street. More than just an ice cream emporium, the shop serves as a community gathering point, hosting vintage movie screenings, musical performances, weekend pancake breakfasts and seasonal celebrations.

The shop was named after owner Paul Tamburello’s father, who though small in stature, was a giant in terms of his contributions to the community. Little Man continues his legacy through the “Scoop for Scoop” program, which helps fight hunger in developing nations. For every scoop of ice cream Little Man sells, one scoop of rice is donated to villages in Ethiopia and Myanmar. The shop has donated more than 400,000 scoops over the last five years.
