Tieto and OTP Bank have implemented a high availability payment card authorization system

Tieto and OTP Bank have together implemented a new payment card authorization system with high availability. The new solution will provide uninterrupted operations of OTP Bank`s authorization system, also during scheduled updates. For the cardholder, this means constant availability of the bank`s services and prompt processing of customer requests.

In the scope of the project, the authorization requests processing was transferred from OTP Bank Hungary to OTP Bank Russia. In addition, a high availability solution Card Suite Active-Active High Availability was implemented. This solution is based on a simultaneous and synchronized work of two systems in real time mode. During the project a direct connection from OTP Bank to international payment card organizations Visa International and MasterCard Worldwide was also established, which allows optimizing the operational processes of the bank.

To ensure improved security for payment card processing and settlement with international payment card organizations, OTP Bank also implemented Card Suite Fraud Management solution that provides the flexibility to identify and prevent fraudulent use of payment cards.
