Among Stiff Competition, Wyndham Vacation Ownership Remains "Best Place to Work" in Southern Nevada

ORLANDO, Fla. – For the second year in a row, Wyndham Vacation Ownership (WVO), a member of the Wyndham Worldwide family of companies (NYSE:WYN), was named the top employer for large companies in southern Nevada by The Southern Nevada Human Resources Association, recognizing innovative people practices and programs. With four WVO timeshare resorts and more than 1,500 associates in Las Vegas, WVO continues to remain an employer of choice in the area by promoting a culture focused on recognition, learning and development and giving back to the local community.

With more than 200 members in the Las Vegas area, Women On Their Way is open to everyone, both female and male, and provides additional training opportunities such as special lectures and development sessions.

Each year employees also spend countless hours giving back to support their local communities by participating in fundraisers, volunteerism and sponsorships. In 2012, employees raised nearly $77,000 benefiting local organizations, which included Helping Hands of Vegas Valley, Goodie Two Shoes Foundation, Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation, Aid For AIDS of Nevada (AFAN), the American Heart Association and March of Dimes.

For example, earlier this year employees partnered with Cure 4 the Kids and identified five local children to send to The Painted Turtle summer camp, part of WVO’s signature charity, SeriousFun Children’s Network. After the camp closed for repair due to fire damage, WVO employees still provided the children with a summer camp experience by hosting a “mini camp” at Mount Charleston with a barbeque, games, crafts and homemade gifts from WVO employees.
