Alfa MiTo Club to Club: the festival starts in November

WEBWIRE

If there’s a car that best represents youth, their energy and their desire to have fun, break new ground and be passionate, it’s the Alfa Romeo MiTo. If there’s an event that can bring 30,000 people together with artists who breeze effortlessly between music, contemporary art, video art and performance, it’s Alfa MiTo Club To Club.

And so it is that the Energy Machine par excellence sponsors the most important music and contemporary art festival for the sixth year running, as Main Sponsor. This year it sees a line-up of more than 35 of the most visionary and acclaimed international musicians.

Now at its thirteenth edition, Alfa MiTo Club to Club will run from 7 to 10 November at Turin, during Contemporary Art Week and Artissima, another two highly significant Turin-based cultural events.

Distinguished by a Twitter hashtag (#C2C13) – a marker for things that are highly discussed and contemporary on social networking sites – the event alternates between the avant-garde and pop, in search of the ideal point of connection, and will offer showcases and performances from world-famous artists in Turin, of the calibre of Four Tet, James Holden, Jon Hopkins, Fuck Buttons, but also Modeselektor, Todd Terje, Julio Bashmore and John Talabot.

Many locations in Turin that symbolise the city’s restless cultural and artistic activity will play host to the event: from the OGR Yards to Lingotto Fiere and from Hiroshima Mon Amour to the Teatro Carignano.

The Alfa Romeo MiTo is the ideal partner for Club To Club, sharing its sheer energy and creativity and showing off the Festival’s mix of music and technology to good effect. That’s why it’s the Energy Machine, “energy that becomes emotion”, the car that attends all of the coolest and most innovative music events.

Alfa Romeo has been promoting and sponsoring concerts, music events, DJ sets, exhibitions and high-level sessions since 2008. With the MiTo model, it collaborates with original music projects on an international level, just like “Club To Club Alfa Romeo MiTo”, which – according to Resident Advisor, the most authoritative electronic music portal – has been the best festival organised in the world between November and December for five years.

In anticipation of #C2C13 – Club To Club Alfa Romeo MiTo – on 2 November, enthusiasts can see an exclusive preview live show in Milan at Buka - New CGD, a historic record label fallen into disuse, now a key location in Milan’s most forward-thinking music scene.
