• High power Wi-Fi provides industry-leading performance
• Operators can easily add new premium services with ADB Epicentro® software

Geneva, Switzerland and Broomfield, Colorado (USA): Advanced Digital Broadcast (ADB), a leading supplier of advanced solutions for the connected home, today expanded its portfolio of solutions for the North American market with the launch of a new ultra-broadband gateway, the DB6520.

This new solution gives broadband service providers the ability to launch ultra-broadband services in the future without having to upgrade the subscriber’s equipment. Support for VDSL Bonding takes advantage of vectoring to deliver 100Mbps bi-directional speed using existing copper networks.

“While FTTH might grab the headlines, solutions from ADB allow operators to extract value from their existing copper networks. VDSL2 Bonding is a powerful tool, enabling these operators to effectively compete in the ultra-broadband market. Our new DB6520 gateway allows operators to deliver an impressive 100Mbps bi-directional bandwidth using their existing copper networks, making it a cost-effective alternative to fiber,” said Peter Balchin, CEO at ADB.“The new DB6520 gives operators the opportunity to move to ultra-broadband at their own pace,” he added.

ADB offers GPON, ADSL, VDSL and VDSL Bonding gateways for the North American market, all featuring high levels of interoperability, efficient operation and future-proofed to meet evolving network and service demands. All these gateways run ADB’s award-winning Epicentro software platform, enabling operators to seamlessly deliver value-added services to the subscriber and remotely manage the devices.

The DB6520 features dual WAN using VDSL2 Bonding with 17a profile and Gigabit Ethernet; dual-band Wi-Fi for extended coverage and reach; four additional Gigabit Ethernet ports; and a HPNA over Coax interface. With the inclusion of DLNA media sharing, users can easily share multimedia content between connected devices including game consoles, smartphones, tablets and TVs.

The DB6520 will be showcased in booth 919 at TelcoVision 2013 (23–25 October, Las Vegas, NV) and on stand G28 at Broadband World Forum 2013 (22-24 October in Amsterdam).
