It may not be the 1950s anymore, but there are certainly undertones of the era that affect a woman’s confidence in the workforce and at home.

Entrepreneur and marketing coach Phillipa Kiripatea says there are still undertones of the 1950s in society today especially when it comes to how the community treats women.

“Women are still expected to be home-makers and not given the same opportunities that men get,” said Mrs Kiripatea.

“It’s been this way for so long and women come to me often for marketing help for their businesses but need help with self-confidence first,” she said.

“They need help to believe in themselves and know that they can achieve great things.”

“It is such a common occurrence that I have put together a pay what you can e-course for these women so that they can go from feeling less than, to bold, confident and glorified.”

Mrs Kiripatea said women just need someone on their side and her 7 Days to Glory e-course will help them:

  • To realise the potential they have to change lives
  • Become more confident so they are able to build a successful business
  • Learn how to get more clients simply by being themselves and not conforming to a ‘corporate standard’
  • Get the freedom they want in their lives and not feel guilty about it
  • Become bold and glorious role models for upcoming women so the cycle of amazing women never ends

“All of the money raised from buying the e-course goes directly to One Girl which is a charity that helps girls in Sierra Leone get an education and out of the nasty world of arranged marriages and bearing children at the age of 12,” she said.

Mrs Kiripatea is running the 7 Days to Glory e-course from the 14th October where women are able to register and participate online at www.phillipakiripatea.com/7-days-to-glory .
