Tieto provides Swedish Skatteverket with consultancy services

Tieto has been selected to sign a framework agreement with Skatteverket, the Swedish Tax Agency, following a competitive tender process involving 58 other companies. It concerns the provision of consultancy services, which are part of Tieto’s offering within Consulting and System Integration.
This is a strategically important contract for Tieto outside the sphere of governmental and authority operation and administration. The framework agreement covers 10 different suppliers and has a total value estimated to be SEK 150 million. The agreement runs for one year.

With some 750 employees, Skatteverket has one of the biggest internal IT departments in the country, with offices in Solna, Umeå, Gothenburg, Västerås, Östersund and Visby. Under the terms of the framework agreement, Tieto will receive requests for deliveries primarily to the Visby office, which is one of Skatteverket’s biggest development units.
