Ford Transit VS Nissan nv200

With its striking new silver grille, colour-coded bumpers and daytime running lamps, the timeless Transit has been given a contemporary, professional makeover to ensure that it says all the right things about your business. Sliding passenger side doors reveal convenient access for loading and unloading, with options for a sliding driver’s door for even greater access. The cabin itself is spacious and ergonomically designed to enhance driver comfort. The Nissan nv200 is more compact, but still offers plenty of loadspace. The nv200 has good agility, thanks to its 10.6m turning circle, while excellent visibility is offered by the high seating – and it looks great from the outside, too.

Transit drivers can choose from Ford’s new more powerful, highly efficient engine range which meets the Stage V European emissions standards. The 2.2 Duratorq TDCi engines powering the Ford Transit can be combined with Ford ECOnetic technology, designed to lower running costs and increase efficiency. The nv200, meanwhile, is powered by two engines, and offers excellent efficiency and power – especially with the new 1.5dCi engine. But you can’t beat the Transit for cost-cutting efficiency. 

The Transit has been lauded by EuroNCAP Advanced award judges for its class-leading safety technology, which includes an advanced Electronic Stability Programme, incorporating anti-lock braking system and Emergency Braking Assist (EBA). The nv200 features Nissan’s full array of safety features, as well as a host of innovative technologies built in as standard, but the Transit wins this round.
