Lackland Air Force Base (AFB) is one of the most recent clients to install the Vertical Lift Module (VLM) Storage Systems, manufactured by Kardex Remstar and distributed exclusively by McMurray Stern in Southern California. These VLM Systems allow weapons and sensitive items to be stored in an enclosed machine that automatically recalls items via a push button keypad.
