Multiven Releases Strategic SWOT Analysis For Telcos

ZURICH, Switzerland. – Thursday, June 27, 2013 - Multiven today released a strategic SWOT analysis for Telecommunications and Internet service providers (“Telco”)  which highlights the fact that Internet networks have become mere commodity highways for Over-The-Top (OTT) content that are fast depleting Telco revenues from legacy voice, SMS, MMS and IPTV services. The SWOT lists Internet of Things, Machine-to-Machine (M2M), Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Technology Venture Investing amongst several opportunities that lie ahead for Telcos that want to remain profitable, agile and innovative.

The Multiven SWOT further predicts that as enterprises continue the transition away from owning and operating their own Internet networks to consuming it as-a-service like other utilities, Telcos will ultimately own and operate all commercial networks and thus evolve into end-customers, rather than mere resellers, to network equipment manufacturers.
