San Mateo County Fair Announces Gabriel Colaluca to Head Department of Technology and Industrial Arts
The San Mateo County Fair “Where Tradition Meets Innovation” boasts a stunning variety of world-class musical entertainment, live performances, fun festival food, local and traditional contests, and a “Ferris Wheeling” carnival. June 8-16th.
The San Mateo County Fair organizers have recently appointed Gabriel Colaluca to head the Department of Technology and Industrial Arts for the 2013 San Mateo County Fair.According to San Mateo County Event Center’s General Manager, Chris Carpenter, “We’ve recently tapped the expertise of Gabriel Colaluca to head the department of Technology and Industrial Arts for the County Fair. He has many contacts in the technology industry and will be partnering with numerous technology groups, organizations, companies and others to bring new, edgy fun attractions to the 2013 San Mateo County Fair,” said Carpenter.
According to Gabriele Colaluca, “I’ve been working closely with local technology companies and we have a keen interest in expanding the Fair’s offerings to the community as a teaching and educational tool to highlight our county’s excellence in technology and industrial arts.”
Colaluca had previously managed large-scale events and light shows and plans on bringing his skill and expertise to further develop the Fair’s technology offerings.
The San Mateo County Fair already hosts contests in technology and industrial arts as well as exhibits and demonstrations in these areas, in addition to traditional Fair offerings such as pie contests, home brewing, livestock and agriculture and world class free Summer concerts all nine days of the Fair.
Fair season pass tickets are only $17 if purchased by June 7th, to enjoy all nine days of the Fair including all concerts.
This year the Fair features nationally known bands that include: Tower of Power, Starship Featuring Mickey Thomas, Three Dog Night, The Whispers and Morris Day & The Time, as well as award winning tribute bands, Aerorocks and Queen Nation.
