DENVER – – World renown jewelry designer Miriam Salat announces today the launch of her Water For People collection to benefit the Denver, Colorado-based nonprofit that works in 10 developing countries around the world to provide access to water and sanitation services.

The Water For People collection consists of nine elegant pieces, including statement earrings, bangles, cuffs, rings, and necklaces. Each piece is sculpted with beautiful shades of blue, clear, and turquoise resin and ornamented with silvertone and cubic zirconia adding extra sparkle. The collection can be viewed and purchased at www.miriamsalat.com.

Miriam Salat is known for creating jewelry that is a combination of vintage motifs and modern forms, timeless yet fresh pieces, with an aesthetic that is driven by color. Prior to designing, Salat studied civil engineering (designing highways); finding her creative balance to the linear aspects of her engineering background in jewelry.

Miriam Salat’s fashion jewelry gives expression to the sensibilities of women who, like herself, embrace life to the fullest. An avid traveler, her cultural experiences influence her designs, use of color and trend-setting looks. Miriam Salat’s personal passion to thoughtfully contribute to solving the world water crisis brought the designer and Water For People together to form a creative partnership.

Recently, Salat visited Water For People’s programs in Guatemala.

“It was an incredible experience to see Water For People’s work up close,” said Salat. “I met many wonderful people and the fact that the organization focuses on ensuring that everyone has access to water and that it will last forever gives me hope that the worldwide water crisis can be truly solved.”

“We are very grateful for the support of Miriam Salat and the unveiling of this collection,” said Emma Pfister, Partnership Manager at Water For People. “The funds that will be raised through this effort will help us achieve our goals to reach everyone with water that will last generations.”

Whether shopping in a Moroccan souk or exploring the ancient temples of Bhutan, she is always distinctive, always put together, and never loses her impeccable taste.

Salat began designing jewelry in 1993 and her artistry was quickly revered, resulting in her line being sold at Barneys, and eventually expanding to Henri Bendel, Neiman Marcus, and Nordstrom.
