The San Mateo County Fair is adding to its FREE concert series with the legendary band Three Dog Night. They will join other headliners that include Dickey Betts and Great Southern, Starship featuring Mickey Thomas, Tower of Power, Morris Day and the Time and Queen Nation.
 
Three Dog Night will perform on Monday, June 10th at the San Mateo County Fair. Their hits heard today on TV commercials, radio, and in major motion pictures have become part of the fabric of our pop culture today: “Mama Told Me Not to Come”, “Joy to the World”, “Black and White”, “Shambala”, and “One”. The band features founding members Cory Wells and Danny Hutton on lead vocals as well as original keyboardist Jimmy Greenspoon and guitarist Michael Allsup. Paul Kingery (bass and vocals) and Pat Bautz (drums) complete the lineup.

The FREE concert series lineup includes: Dickey Betts, a founding member of the Allman Brothers and his band Great Southern. He is considered to be one of the best guitarists in the country, Dickey played on all the Allman Brothers greatest hits including “Ramblin’ Man,” “Southbound” and “Jessica.” This year the Fair presents Starship featuring Mickey Thomas, who rose to fame with the smash hit “We Built This City” and “Jane,” Also performing at the Fair for the first time is Morris Day and the Time, who became an 80’s Pop Funk band favorite with their breakout tune “Jungle Love,” and Queen Nation, a Queen Music Tribute Band that lives up to its promise of Queen’s well known hit “We Will Rock You. Three Dog Night bring their hits “Mama Told Me (Not to Come),” “One”, and “Joy to the World.” Tower of Power returns to the Fair with two performances. Tower of Power’s sound can be categorized as Urban Soul Music (according to the band’s leader and founding member, Emilio Castillo. Their hits “So Very Hard to Go,” and “Soul Vaccination,” are audience favorites.
