TOKYO — Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. and Seven-Eleven Japan Co., Ltd. are today launching a new functionNote1 that allows users to search, view and purchase contents such as sheet music, photos and maps on the spot, via the Content Print Service of the Net PrintNote2, a print service through Fuji Xerox’s multi-use copiersNote3 installed at Seven-Eleven stores across Japan.

Previously, users needed to access Contents Gallery, the contents sales website, from their computers to check the eight-digit print confirmation number registered on the content they want to purchase before going to Seven-Eleven stores. With the new function, users can directly search and purchase the content of their choice from the operational screen of the multi-use copier.

Since its commencement in March 2003, the Contents Print Service—provided through the Net Print to offer print contents for personal enjoyment or business use—has been received well by many users for its convenience of being able to print only what they need at a convenience store.

In particular, after the introduction of the Photo Print Service in January 2006, with which, for example, users can print out L-size photos of musicians after their concerts, the number of prints has been growing at a two-digit rate annually, responding to the needs for such rare original items. In addition to providing copying and fax service, Seven-Eleven Japan and Fuji Xerox will expand the convenient services including the photo print service for, Net Print, document printing, as well as issuing tickets, copies of resident cards or seal registration certificates.

Note1: This function only handles ZENRIN residential maps and part of the recommended contents from the Contents Gallery.
Note2: A service that enables users to print files stored online through a multi-use copier installed at Seven-Eleven stores across Japan.
Note3: Fuji Xerox full-color multifunction devices installed in Seven-Eleven stores across Japan (14,800 stores as of the end of January 2013). The devices provide a range of services, including color copying, fax, digital photo printing, ticket purchasing, and Net Print.
