Last month, a weekend-long event was held at Mazda dealerships to celebrate the launch of the manufacturer’s newest family car, the Mazda6. Delivering unparalleled power and efficiency, the Mazda6 is undoubtedly a game-changer, and Marriotts Mazda is excited to announce the addition of this dynamic vehicle to our line-up.
 
On the outside, the Mazda6 is attractive to look at, sporting a new design which is taken from the CX-5 SUV and has been successfully adapted to the family car format. Featuring striking lines and angular headlamps, with a signature front grille, the car appears to be moving even when still. It’s no wonder that the new design is labelled “KODO – Soul of Motion”. Mazda have gone all-out with the build quality of the 6, too. Mazda didn’t stop at the outside of the 6. The rearranged interior matches the stylish exterior design, while adding extra space and comfort for passengers. The comprehensive safety features include standard precautions such as airbags and driver assist functions, as well as more advanced technologies designed to reduce the risk of accidents. The award-winning Rear Vehicle Monitoring System alerts the driver when another car is approaching from behind; just one of the many reasons that the 6 is one of the safest cars on the road today. Euro NCAP agrees, having awarded the Mazda6 its maximum five-star safety rating.
 
The engine range comprises a choice of 2.0-litre petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines, all with excellent power and economy. Whether you choose the Saloon or Tourer version of the 6, 0-60mph can be achieved in 10.5 seconds, and the maximum top speed is an impressive 139mph. It might surprise you that this power does not come at the expense of fuel efficiency; in fact, the 6 is one of the most economical family cars out there, with a combined fuel consumption of 67.3mpg in the Saloon version. This is due to the clever SKYACTIV technology built into the engine, which has led to the Mazda6 winning the What Car? Car of the Year 2013 Ultra-low-carbon Award.
