The latest saloon from Mazda launched in January and begins the run of new Mazda models due to be released in the coming years. The new Mazda6 is set up for convenience and low running costs, with an economical engine and spacious interior.
 
Mazda’s “KODO – Soul of Motion” design ethic has been clearly stamped onto the Mazda6. Based on the established design of the CX-5 SUV but with added flair, thanks to its bold curves and fresh new face, the Mazda6 is the innovator for all new Mazda models. The Mazda6 has been made more agile in both looks and handling, made possible by the lightweight build; it is more than a match for the narrow roads and uncompromising traffic of the inner city. The inclusion of state-of-the-art i-ELOOP regenerative braking technology makes the Mazda6 even more economical than previously thought possible.
 
The cabin has also had a redesign using the new ethos, resulting in increased internal space and a stylish new look. The driver’s position has been elevated and the central console is within easy reach, allowing for ease of access and control over the entire car.  The Mazda6, as with all Mazdas, has been thoroughly tested by EuroNCAP who have awarded it five stars for safety. The high build quality is supported by intelligent technology such as all-round airbags, electronic driver assists and the award-winning Rear Vehicle Monitoring system.
 
The range of seven available engines is truly impressive, starting at the base 1.8-litre MZR right the way through to a 2.5-litre version. Either a five-speed or six-speed gearbox that applies the engine’s power directly to the road accompanies each engine. These engines are not just powerful they’re also highly economical; regulated by revolutionary SKYACTIV technology, exclusive to Mazda, the CO2 output and fuel consumption is reduced to a minimum, further reducing your motoring costs.
