FGCU teams up with World Instructor Training Schools (W.I.T.S.) to bring Personal Fitness Trainer Certification course to Fort Myers and Punta Gorda
FGCU brings the WITS Certified Personal Trainer Certification course to Fort Myers and Punta Gorda.
FORT MYERS, Fla. – Continuing Education and Off Campus Programs at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) is teaming up with World Instructor Training Schools (W.I.T.S.) to offer a Personal Trainer Certification course in Fort Myers (8695 College Parkway) and Punta Gorda (117 Herald Ct.).
The Fort Myers Personal Fitness Trainer Course takes place on Saturdays, March 9 through May 11. The Punta Gorda Personal Fitness Trainer Course takes place Tuesdays and Thursdays, March 5 through May 2. The course is taught by W.I.T.S. Participants will become a W.I.T.S. Certified Personal Trainer upon completion of all course requirements and documentation of the necessary CPR/AED first aid training.
Free orientations will be offered in Punta Gorda on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.; or in Fort Myers on Saturday, Feb. 23, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
This program is eligible for Workforce Investment Act Funding, Veteran’s Education benefits. Please check with the college, your local workforce investment board, veteran’s administration or visit the Military Education website for more details.
Approved for continuing education hours for massage therapists, athletic trainers and occupational therapists.
