Mazda has set the release date for its new Mazda6 for the end of January, and to mark the official UK launch on Friday, January 25, Arnold Clark’s Mazda dealerships across Scotland and the North-West of England are hosting an exclusive celebration over the last weekend of January, the 26-27. Developed from the CX-5 SUV, the Mazda6 exemplifies the “KODO – Soul of Motion” visual language, which is also set to influence all future Mazda models. With a bolder form, refreshed front grille and aerodynamic bumper, the Mazda6’s clean lines lead through to the sporty rear spoiler. Mazda has constructed its latest model with lightweight materials, which means the car enjoys enhanced handling, better agility and tighter cornering.
 
Inside, the Mazda6 is all new. The spacious cabin accommodates passengers more comfortably than ever before, whilst the driver will find all the primary controls within easy reach. EuroNCAP gave the car a top five stars for safety after it stood up to their rigorous testing, thanks to the multiple airbags and driver assistance systems such as the award-winning Rear Vehicle Monitoring system.
 
Mazda6 drivers can choose from a range of 2.0-litre petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines on both the Tourer and Saloon models. They all take you from 0-60mph in no more than 10.5 seconds, and the diesel saloon offers an ultimate top speed of 139mph. Each of the engines is accompanied by a six-speed automatic or manual gearbox, as well as Mazda’s revolutionary SKYACTIV technology. The innovative technology system offers higher fuel economy and torque, and helps to reduce CO2 emissions.
