EMSL Analytical is currently seeking full time Asbestos TEM (Transmission Electron Microscopy) analysts for its Cinnaminson, NJ location. This position offers the chance to work for a stable company that provides the opportunity for growth within the organization.

The asbestos TEM analysts will be responsible for the preparation and analysis of samples in various matrices including air, water and soil.  Some of the responsibilities of the position include

  • Direct Data Entry (DDE) and review of TEM reports
  • Maintaining and calibrating laboratory instrumentation/equipment
  • Complying with QA/QC practices as outlined in the company QA manual, analytical methods and internal SOPs


This position may require up to 4 weeks of travel per year to one or more of our various branch lab locations.  Candidates may be required to work occasional weekends, second shift hours, and/or some overtime.

Position requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in an applied Science (Geology is a plus), the ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced deadline driven environment both independently and as part of a team. Candidate must also be able to distinguish colors in order to perform analysis.

Three years of experience in a commercial environmental laboratory setting is desired.  Electron Microscopy, Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM), Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM) experience is a plus.
