Aviva has gone live with its ’Work:Life’ corporate platform, enabling advisers to work with their employer-clients on building tailored online hubs.

Work:Life delivers a single, online interface to an employers’ total reward offerings, including their company pension. At a time when auto-enrolment is demanding increased levels of employee engagement to get people saving for their retirement, Work:Life offers a simple way for employees to consider and select their benefits.

Aviva has partnered with employee benefits software company, Staffcare, to build Work:Life, creating the functionality to allow employers’ existing benefits arrangements to easily integrate with their new platform. Advisers and employers can use Aviva’s range of benefits, as well as those of other suppliers, to provide an extensive range of offerings in the workplace, including:

Group personal pensions – access to Aviva’s core workplace pension product, with fund choices, billing, and communications.
Planning tools – including Pension Tracker, Aviva’s existing market-leading online tool, which will continue to help employees monitor and manage their pension.
Total reward statements - giving employees an online view of all elements of their benefits package, with a monetary value including their salary, holidays and other benefits.
Voluntary benefits - providing employees with a budget-friendly way of making their money stretch further through discounts including high street brands, leisure breaks and supermarket shopping.
Flexible benefits – to give employees flexibility in choosing ways they can save money on anything from laptops or mountain bikes, to health insurance and breakdown cover.
Further development will include additional planning tools as well as a Group ISA and SIPP.

Aviva’s Proposition Strategy and Development Director for Corporate Benefits, Paul Goodwin, said: “In Work:Life we’ve created a corporate platform that is completely flexible and can be implemented to the exact specification of each employer. Advisers and employers can consider what the best benefits are for the companies concerned, and then create ‘personalised’ solutions that will really drive interest and engagement from employees.

“Being able to view benefits and plan finances will encourage employees to use Work:Life regularly and in an informed way, particularly if what’s on offer is relevant to those particular employees. Creating a desire among employees to actively manage their short and long-term finances will be a critical step in the success of auto-enrolment.”

Staffcare’s Founder and CEO, Phil Hollingdale, said: “Aviva has created a truly innovative platform using our software and we are delighted to provide the technological expertise required to support its Work:Life proposition.”
