Dacia Lodgy scoops ‘L’Argus Trophy’ family car award

A jury of industry professionals has awarded Dacia Lodgy (1.5 dCi Lauréate) the L’Argus Trophy family car award. It is the second consecutive year that Dacia has picked up such an accolade following Duster’s Argus success in 2011.

Dacia Lodgy has won the L’Argus Trophy in the family car category. The major criteria taken into account were the spacious cabin and performance/equipment package it delivers for its price, as well as its best-in-class low running costs (€0.25 per kilometre based upon 25,000km a year over three years) and residual value (49% based on annual mileage of 25,000km over three years). The jury was also won over by Dacia Lodgy’s user-friendliness.

The L’Argus Trophies jury was composed of vehicle evaluation experts, journalists and market research specialists. It was presided over by Alexandrine Breton des Loÿs, Argus Group president. All cars that were launched in 2012 were eligible for the awards. A series of editorial meetings narrowed contenders down to five, with one final vote determining the winners.

Unveiled at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, Lodgy is Dacia’s first MPV. Like the brand’s other models, Lodgy offers C-segment space for the price of a B-segment vehicle. Indeed, the cabin space it provides is simply unbeatable for its price.

Dacia Lodgy comes in five and seven-seater versions. Its roominess (particularly for passengers sitting in the third row), modular interior and big boot (more than 2,600 litres) are its star attributes, not to mention its modern interior and equipment specification. This includes the optional MEDIA NAV multimedia system which incorporates GPS, radio, Bluetooth connectivity and an 18cm touchscreen display, all for an unprecedented low price.

Dacia Lodgy is particularly ideal for families who have decided to step up from a used car.

Dacia Lodgy has been on sale in France since April of this year, with prices starting at €9,990. A version powered by the new TCe 115 petrol engine has been available for order in France since the end of September. This brand new powerplant blends driving pleasure, excellent fuel consumption (6.0 litres/100km*) and low CO2 emissions (135 grams of CO2 per km*). Like all models in the Dacia range, Lodgy comes with a three-year or 100,000km warranty.
