AFL Introduces Next-Generation TRM Test Results Manager 2.0

WEBWIRE

AFL is launching Test Results Manager 2.0, a comprehensive analysis and reporting software designed for use with NOYES fiber optic test and inspection products. Available in TRM 2.0 Basic and Advanced versions, the software permits technical personnel to quickly view results, generate acceptance reports, analyze OTDR traces, loss or certification results and batch-edit OTDR traces uploaded from all NOYES M-Series, C-Series, CS-Series, OFL-Series, FLX-Series OTDRs and OPM products.

“Rapid expansion in the telecom, broadband and enterprise segments can overload fiber ducts, trays and racks and produce bent, crushed or stressed fibers,” explains Ganesh Nakhawa, product line manager at AFL’s NOYES Test and Inspection Division. “Our new TRM 2.0 software allows these problems to be quickly identified and corrected and produces comprehensive reports of system health.”

TRM 2.0 Basic is included with every NOYES OTDR and OPM5 test sets and additional copies are available for purchase. TRM® 2.0 Advanced adds powerful new automatic bi-directional analysis and macrobend detection capabilities and may be purchased from AFL. Both versions support industry standard GR-196 v1.1 and SR-4731 Issue 1 and 2 OTDR files and permit fiber inspection images from the NOYES FOCIS inspection system to be included in test reports. Thirty-day trial copies of TRM 2.0 can be downloaded from AFL’s website.
