The American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) recently began offering two webinars open to all Certified Industrial Hygienists.

WEBWIRE

Starting this month, ABIH began offering two webinars open to any Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).  The webinars are given multiple times each month and are currently scheduled from November through January of 2013.

The first webinar is an overview of the Certification Maintenance (CM) Program.  The second is an overview of the new Diplomate-Calculated CM Credit Calculation Method.

The 60-minute CM Overview webinar touches on the key aspects of successfully participating in the CM Program. Although the target audience is new CIHs, many seasoned CIHs have found the material to be a good refresher of the basic rules, best practices, and common mistakes. The 45-minute CM Credit Calculations webinar is focused on the method now used for determining CM credit for educational events, known as the Diplomate-Calculated Method. All CIHs, not just new ones, will benefit from this program. The material in both of these webinars is drawn from publications in the ABIH Document Library.

“The ABIH understands that our CIHs are incredibly busy professionals and we want to do everything we can to facilitate their successful participation in our programs,” reported Tracy Parsons, CIH, Administrative Program Manager at ABIH.   “These optional webinars provide a crash course in the basics and will help anyone get started in the right direction.”
