Sveriges Riksbank chooses EVRY

Oslo - Sweden’s central bank, Sveriges Riksbank, has chosen EVRY ASA as an outsourcing supplier with overall responsibility for IT operating services. The new contract will run for 5 years, with an option to extend for a further 2 years.

The initial 5-year agreement represents total contract value of SEK 220 million. The agreement also provides for 22 of the Riksbank’s employees to become employees of EVRY. The new agreement includes operating and support services for all of the Riksbank’s operational activities. The agreement is intended to create further opportunities for the Riksbank to concentrate on its core activities while ensuring access to expertise and a guaranteed level of service by purchasing services.

The contract with Sveriges Riksbank involves the operation of some 140 applications running on around 350 servers in two data centres. EVRY will also be responsible for the Service Desk function and around 550 client workstations. The contract also comprises communications services, including LAN, WLAN, firewalls and load balancing.
