Phoenix Project Manager introduces WorkStream to simplify project management and deliver early

Salt Lake City, UT  – Phoenix Project Management Systems today announced a new capability called Phoenix “WorkStream” process to the Phoenix Project Manager.

The “WorkStream” process simplifies the project management and status updates for complex construction projects.  It creates easy to understand project schedules, reducing the complexity by 40% to 50%.  The new capability helps the construction industry drive efficiency and productivity to deliver projects early. 

“I’ve been involved with scheduling since my work on the Polaris missile project in the late 50’s. The challenge has always been to develop a schedule that can be understood and explained by a non-scheduler.  For years, this has always meant using other tools to condense the schedule information into a usable form, because none of the existing scheduling software seemed designed with communication in mind. The “WorkStream” process includes a user definable network diagram to simplify complex project bar charts into easy to follow groups of work for clear visibility and accountability.  This view recreates the highly effective hand drawn schedules from the past with the technology of today.  The process also includes two schedule progress views; status on current and status on master.  These capabilities allow the project team to compare the impact on the project end date and against the baseline to quickly identify where the schedule is slipping and design corrective action.
