Gemalto’s Neville Pattinson to serve on the Identity Ecosystem Steering Group

Austin, TX, USA - Gemalto (Euronext NL0000400653 GTO), the world leader in digital security, announces the election of its Senior Vice President of Government Programs, Neville Pattinson, to the Identity Ecosystem Steering Group (IDESG) Management Council, formed recently by the National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace (NSTIC). Gemalto brings identity and eGovernment solutions to over 60 government programs worldwide and is an active part of 15 national eID initiatives. Neville Pattinson joins 15 other delegates from global organizations with each of the experts serving a range of perspectives.

Neville Pattinson is an expert in smart card and encryption technology, having been involved in planning and implementing several U.S. federal government initiatives. He has served as past Technical Chairman of the Smart Card Alliance (SCA) and Vice-Chairman of the SCA’s Identity Council. A founding member of the advocacy group called The Secure ID Coalition, he is also active within several other associations such as TechAmerica, American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA), InterNational Committee for Information Technology Standards (INCITS), International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and University of Texas’ Center for Identity.

NSTIC, tasked to improve security in cyberspace and e-commerce, formed the Identity Ecosystem Steering Group to develop and administer the process for policy and technical standards development for the Identity Ecosystem Framework.
