Coinmach and SDI Laundry Solutions Unite

Plainview, NY, October 19, 2012 – A new alliance between Coinmach, the nation’s largest supplier of outsourced laundry services and SDI Laundry Solutions (SDI) was announced today – demonstrating a shared vision of the future by uniting common businesses.

Ron Garfunkel, President of SDI, will remain in his position as will his leadership team and service personnel. SDI will continue to operate from its current Yonkers, NY facility.
 
Robert M. Doyle, Coinmach’s CEO, stated, “I am excited by this acquisition as SDI is a highly respected company in our industry, with great leadership, smart technology, and a stellar reputation in the New York metropolitan area. SDI is a leader in the deployment of non-coin payment systems, operating an almost purely coinless business in an industry still dominated by coin-fed laundry machines. This newly formed partnership of the two long-standing companies (Coinmach was founded in 1947; SDI in 1952) is not only one of shared resources, but also one that represents shared cultural beliefs. In recent years, under Doyle’s leadership, Coinmach has made dramatic customer service improvements, adopting what Doyle calls a “Customers for Life” mentality.
