CCR Motor Co is now part of the international VT Holdings group

This March, Mitsubishi Motors announced the sale of the franchised Colt Car Retail (CCR) Motor Company’s 11 brand locations in the UK to Japan-based group VT Holdings. The purchase of the dealerships took place for an undisclosed sum.
 
VT Holdings is a long-standing retailer of vehicles in its home territory and initially approached the dealer network in 2011, seeking to gain its first foothold in the United Kingdom. Although not looking to sell initially, the reputation and success of the Japanese group convinced Colt Car Retail to accept the acquisition.
 
Since the merger was revealed, the group of 11 dealerships has enjoyed considerable success from its association with VT Holdings, increasing its workforce and involvement with the community to encourage the growth of the network. CCR recently provided vehicles for the DHK Legacy Trust’s annual charity golfing event, and has been able to extend its range and service offerings at each location during the course of the year.
 
A spokesperson for Colt Car Retail said “Our team members were delighted when VT Holding chose our group as its entry into the European market, and we’re proud to add to its international territories and increase our own scope and success in the UK.”
