While Leandra is equally at home in the business arena and on the non-profit stage, photography has always been in her heart. During her career she held executive positions in banking and in numerous non-profit organizations. When free time allowed she climbed mountains, ran rapids, wandered the wilderness and crewed for hot-air balloonists. She was never without a camera and the result is photography which asks the viewer to “look, feel and think anew”.

However, the camera did not come first until she was able to leave the daily workplace to care for her dying mother. With the time to follow her heart, she bought her first digital camera, tackled a steep learning curve to operate it and three years later a new portfolio emerged.

Adding words to her images was also a challenge but a crash course in blogging solved the problem. Words bring the reader a fuller and more vivid perspective into the world of her work.
