Available this autumn, the new Mini Countryman JCW

Adding to its selection of stylish compact cars, Mini intends to introduce a brand new Countryman JCW for 2012. The British brand will be displaying the model at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, in advance of a general release throughout the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. Scottish motorists will be able to select a new Mini Countryman JCW from franchised John Clark dealerships in Aberdeen and Dundee.
 
At the Motor Show, which this year will be held from September 20th to 27th, Mini will showcase the new model. Visitors to the biennial event will get an exclusive chance to see the car up close before it goes on sale. Once the show ends, the new Countryman JCW will then be available to pre-order.
 
The newest version of the JCW boasts an impressive amount of horsepower, provided by a highly efficient 1.6-litre turbocharged engine. Offering 215bhp, the car is the most powerful model that Mini has ever produced, and can go from 0-60 in only seven seconds. The manufacturer provides a six-speed manual gearbox for the Countryman JCW as standard, with an automatic version available – the first ever for the JCW range.
 
Retaining the unique style of a Mini, the 2012 Countryman JCW sports an instantly recognisable roof and curved shape, with smart racing stripes that betray the car’s rallying bias. 18-inch alloy wheels complete the look of the model, sitting underneath the dynamic body’s broad wheel arches. Compared to previous versions, the new Mini has lower suspension and a sportier exhaust system.
