NexusNETVIEW Release 7.1 gives Operators the online CEM Response they’ve been looking for

NexusNETVIEW Product line applications (Apps) were a great success at TM Forum Management World in Dublin as demonstrations of the new features were well received. These applications give Operators the on-line CEM response needed across their organization

The new NexusNETVIEW Release 7.1 is preparing for our customer’s roll-out of LTE. With existing Mobile Broadband networks, the future challenge is to integrate the new LTE technology access roll-out involving the charging and policy control DIAMETER signaling between 3G and LTE, with the need to monitor IPv6 as well as the existing IPv4.

In the new Release 7.1, Subscriber transaction reports have been further enhanced with new data fields in the Full Session Call Report search. The network-wide transaction report has more cause value filtering possibilities, with additional fields displaying the location details where the subscriber had service difficulties. These search filter configurations are easily stored to use many times providing instant customer service reports and analysis.

About the NexusNETVIEW Release 7.1 Core Network

NexusNETVIEW Release 7.1 focuses on upgrading the Core network protocol libraries with Diameter and improving SIP. The Gx/Gy and the SIP-I/T reports can be searched by new filters in the Full Session Analyzer (FSA).
Customer location information including Cell LAC/SAC/CI is also displayed in the FSA fields. Together with improved call clearing fields, users are able to easily configure filter settings and determine the cells where customer dropped calls are more frequent.

For improved security and anonymization of customer data information, Operators have required a new feature to block the display of digits in the displayed MSISDN numbers and IMSI details, where the number of masked digits is selectable on installation. This feature is enabled for particular users and is part of the administrator’s task when creating group access rights.

With IPv6 introduction, NexusNETVIEW is able to display both IP addresses, IPV4 and IPv6, relevant for 3GPP v9 and v10 signaling.

Alongside the SW Release 7.1 upgrade, new hardware 40 GigEth interface has been introduced, along with a 4 x 10 GigEth card providing flexible network link monitoring with smaller footprints.

Customer Networks and their Operational Support Systems are optimized for local Business strategies. Consequently, Nexus Telecom’ NexusNETVIEW provides a very flexible system to produce work flows that can match these operational strategies, in addition to being an easily scalable monitoring system for both small and large networks.

Recent 3G Project Success

Our recent 3G project success in the Middle East required large processing throughput of ciphered data on the packet radio access links. The upgraded NETVIEW Release provided much faster deciphering process throughput to meet this challenge.

The existing NexusNETVIEW 2/2.5 G monitoring system was extended with 3G capability on the same platform, providing correlation of each circuit switched and each data packet transaction through both network access technologies. The correlated data is exported to Nexus reporting platform providing an insight into connected operator voice service level agreements and network data traffic routing optimization.

Another deployment in North Africa is approaching completion after several months of turmoil in the Region. The immediate access network reporting benefits of the installation are proving that the system needs expansion, which would bring the network roll-out of R4/R5 technologies under surveillance. International Roaming Management KPIs and extended packet data transaction exports are already part of the agreed extension project.
