DMEC Annual Conference: Keynote Session Will Examine Election 2012 and the Impact of Healthcare Reform on Employee Benefits

WEBWIRE

Seismic changes are disrupting employers’ future planning efforts, as the significance and long-range implications of this summer’s Supreme Court decision on health care are digested and analyzed. Employers can expect additional after-shocks from the fall 2012 Presidential and Congressional elections.

Where does this leave employers as they plan for the next few years and try to understand the implications for their healthcare benefits programs?

Sibyl Bogardus, Chief Compliance Officer for Employee Benefits, HUB International, will address this question at the keynote session of the Disability Management Employer Coalition (DMEC) Annual Conference, the foremost industry event on workforce absence management. Bogardus is a widely published author and speaker on health care reform, employee benefits, tax, and labor law issues.
Bogardus will discuss:

  • Potential impact of health care reform and key areas to watch including medical cost shifting;
  • What impact health care reform will have on the benefits industry;
  • Major changes to the Dodd-Frank Financial Regulatory Reform and what insurers are watching.

The DMEC Annual Conference will take place in Denver on August 12 – 15, and will feature practical, hands-on solutions for employers as well as expert analysis of legislation and employment regulations.  Attendees will gain insight from those on the front line of today’s most challenging issues through personal accounts, case studies, and applied research.
