Safety & Health Management Professionals Identified through CSHM and ASHM Designations

The Institute for Safety and Health Management (ISHM) is a credentialing organization founded to promote the establishment of professional standards for those functioning as safety and health managers in the work environment. It exists to promote the establishment of standards for the profession and recognizes safety and health management professionals who, through education, demonstrated professional experience, and the passing of a comprehensive examination, have met ISHM’s requirements for mastering the safety and health management body of knowledge.

The CSHM certification program is designed to provide recognition to those who can apply this broad range of health and safety management tools.”
 
CSHM designees are sought after by human resources (HR) managers and government agencies such as OSHA, EPA, Homeland Security, Army, Navy, Marines and Coast Guard.  People in private industry and working for government agencies depend upon the certification to ascertain the most competent person for a position that management might not fully understand due to all the expertise required for the position.
