The Charity Project Phil Jury Campaign International in London, England, is trying to raise awareness of the Judge only system of justice in the Philippines and seek a referendum to change the policies to a jury system, as in other western countries.

The sad fact is that in most third world countries, the rich and powerful are able to buy justice…whether through high priced attorneys or outright bribery.    A case in point is the recent impeachment of the Philippines Supreme Court official, Chief Justice Renato C. Corona,  for corruption.  Mr. Corona lost his job after it was disclosed in his impeachment trial that he had failed to declare $2.4 million in foreign currency deposits, and another P80 Million Pesos in Philippine accounts ($1.8 Million U.S. Dollars)   Under Philippine Law his salary was P40,000 Philippine Peso per year, yet he claimed he saved the money.

The Charity is using several ways to bring the message to the people and secure funding.   Recently, the “Level-Up and Recall, Videoke Challenge”, featuring Greg ’Mudak’ Mirabona, a stand-up Filipino comedian in UK, was presented in London and aired by ABS-CBN, The Filipino Channel.

“Mother Lily” Baldwin had this to say, “I am happy to support such a good cause.  The Philippines has been full of corruption, for as long as I can remember.  Hopefully, this campaign is one way to start ridding the country of corrupt officials.”
